My Educational Journey

Some of you know back in 2007, I completed a 2 year associate's degree in applied sciences: web development (at least that’s what I think it was titled). I had this bug when I thought this was going to bring me success and wealth, leading to going back to school and really making something of myself. While in the beginning it looked promising, I got a new job a few months out of school and I was making more money than I had imagined. I even really loved what I was doing. I started in QA testing administrative access to web sites. As the months went on, things just started to change, I found myself working on a couple weekends, maybe extra hours. It was becoming stressful. Then came along 2008, the recession hit, and like many others I was out of work.

Teaching yoga is really a far cry from working in an office testing web pages and applications, but really, it's what brought me here. Those years to follow, I kept seeking for that passion, that spark to appear again. It led me to a couple other jobs which involved customer service and then leading me to an instructor role. Serving, supporting and guiding someone.

Really this is what yoga is about, I am here to serve, support, and guide people on their journey. At the end of the day, some of my techie mind is used for blogging on this website, but mainly this techie mind is used to create authentic offerings, support my students in their practice and guide them along on their yoga journey.
