I hear you.

Today I found the simple joy in waking up on a Sunday rested and renewed.

Earlier this week I received a request to help out another teacher on Saturday morning at 9am. Last year or even several months ago I would have jumped at the chance to teach to a large class or multiple classes in one Lately though I’ve been doing a lot of listening.

Since my autoimmune diagnosis in February, I’ve been listening to my body, cutting back on strenuous exercise, no longer running around from space to space, resting when I needed to, and realizing it’s ok to say no. Really taking the time for myself to be heard.

I in turn stopped listening to those inner critics trying to tell me that I had to do this and do that to be successful. I am definitely not like every else.

There might be a lot of talking going on, but I hear you. I’m listening. I’m taking action. Whether it comes to just taking the extra rest or just telling that negative self talk to fuck off, I’m listening and you are heard.
