Episode 10 - Katie Ordani - ‘Staying Present’

Katie and I both were hired at Circle of Life around the same time in the later part of 2018, and often attended each others classes since they were back to back on Saturday mornings.

A little bit about Katie, she completed her Yoga Teacher Training in June of 2018, but had found a personal practice long before that to help cope with my severe anxiety and find space from my stressful job at the time. What I actually learned during our conversation was that we came to this practice for the physical benefits starting with a powerful practice. Through self discovery, and kind of on accident being introduced to the practices that we needed most (Yin & Restorative) and the classes we now both teach on a regular basis.

For Katie yoga provides space from anxiety and everyday stressors, helps her find balance in her life, connects her with others & has granted her a wonderful career. She is now able to share her passion, education, and drive with those around her, through her classes and business.

With the support of her family, she was able to open her own space, in 2019 called Farmhouse Yoga. Farmhouse Yoga operates as a “private” space; meaning, her clients meet through appointments, pre-scheduled events, and seasonal retreats. Farmhouse is a designated, quaint space located in North Ridgeville Ohio, the residence of her childhood, family and life. Katie truly loves what she does, and it shows.
